2527: Working with Alchemical Symbolism
Presenter name: Helen Brammer-Savlov
Alchemical imagery provides us with an invaluable source of archetypal symbolism amounting to an illustrated “map” of the individuation process. Both analysis and alchemy require a descent into the depths of the unconscious and in these four seminars we will find how alchemical symbolism can manifest in the dreams and casework of today and illuminate the way towards the transformational processes of the objective psyche.

Seminar 1 will include a presentation of the main stages of the alchemical opus expressed through alchemical operations with illustrations from alchemical pictures and dreams produced during an analysis. Additional dreams will be distributed for individual research and reflection prior to each subsequent meeting. Candidates’ discoveries and associations to the process of analysis related to the stages of the alchemical opus will form the basis for exploration under the guidance of the seminar leader.
Candidates from both stages 1 and 2 are welcome.
The submission of a short reflective paper will be required after the seminar series.
