This course will explore and critique the life-stage development theories from various analytical perspectives, including Freud, Erickson, Winnicott, Stern, and Jung.

<br><br>For further readings, I also suggest participants in the seminar at some point read D.W. Winnicott’s book, The Maturational Processes and the Facilitating Environment: Studies in the Theory of Emotional Development (Routledge 1984) and I also recommend Daniel Stern’s The Interpersonal World of the Infant: A View from Psychoanalysis and Developmental Psychology (Routledge 1985).
